Cipriano Vargas is a graduate of California State University San Marcos with a B.A. in Sociology. As an undergraduate, Vargas was an active member of various student organizations and served on the California State University Board of Trustees. After graduating from college, Cipriano went on to teach in the urban core of San Antonio. As a kindergarten teacher, he focused on a culturally responsive framework, dual-language immersion and restorative justice approach.
Currently, Vargas is a board member of Vista Unified School District and an early childhood educator. Cipriano is an emerging leader who is making a difference in his community and continues to advocate for education issues at the local, state and federal level.
